On-going Test Project

This is an ongoing test project with Ken Sundling ~ "Mr. Truck".

( August 2010) We have installed a 40 mil application of Temp-Coat® to the inside walls and ceiling living quarters of his trailer.

Test Results soon to be posted.

Temp-Coat® "Mr. Truck" Test Project, Phase 1

The purpose of this test is to show the actual temperature differences of a surface partially coated with Temp-Coat® and be able record the temperatures. The test was developed with Brian Jaeger of Innovative Green Solutions, a Temp-Coat® Distributor, and Kent Sundling of Mr. Truck.com, an independent product evaluator for several truck and trailer manufacturers.

There are four points at which we are collecting surface temperatures on the trailer. The first is the Temp-Coat® coated roof, the second is the ceiling inside the trailer under the Temp-Coat® roof section, the third is the bare section of the roof and the fourth is the ceiling under the bare roof.

We coated the roof over the living quarters with 40 mil of Temp-Coat® and left the horse compartment uncoated. In the graph below you can see that the surface temperature of the coated ceiling is dramatically lower than the bare ceiling. The highest temperature achieved on the bare ceiling was 127.1 °F, and at that peak the corresponding temperature of the Temp-Coat® ceiling was 96.6 °F.

That is a temperature difference of 30.5 °F
